Connecting what matters: what NHP showed at ROKLive 2026

A look back at what we showcased — and the partnership behind it.

Autonomy doesn't run on control systems alone. It runs on the low-voltage infrastructure beneath them — and that was the story we told in Adelaide.

Everyone's talking about autonomous operations. Fewer people are talking about what makes them possible. Strip back the dashboards and the control logic, and what's left is the low-voltage infrastructure underneath — the power, protection, monitoring and connectivity that determines whether an autonomous site keeps running when conditions get hard. Get that layer right and autonomy is dependable. Get it wrong and it's a demo that falls over the first time the heat, the dust or the network turns on you.

That was the idea behind NHP's presence at ROKLive 2026 in Adelaide, where we were proud to be the event's major partner. Under the theme Connecting what matters, we built a live circuit showing how the pieces of that low-voltage layer connect into one dependable system.

Think global. Trust local.

It's a story we're well placed to tell. NHP brings world-leading brands to Australia and New Zealand, then invests in local R&D to make them fit our conditions and meet — and beat — local standards. Our partnership with Rockwell Automation is central to that. As the sole distributor across Australia and New Zealand, we connect world-leading automation technology with local engineering, support and expertise to help customers get the most from it.

The three pain points

At the stand, seven live stations brought it to life. Rather than showcasing individual products, we demonstrated how connected low-voltage infrastructure improves availability, safety and operational visibility across an entire site. It all came back to three challenges every operator, integrator and consultant we spoke to was wrestling with.

Reliable power and safer maintenance → The first job of any site is power that doesn't quit — and maintenance that doesn't put people in harm's way. We showed switchgear that keeps supply live during transfers, detects arc faults before they escalate, and lets operators rack a breaker remotely, staying clear of the board while the power stays on. Outdoors, where the standard recently moved (AS/NZS 61439:2026), we showed switchboards and enclosures verified to keep performing when heat, dust and water are at their worst.

Visibility wherever your assets are →  You can't manage what you can't measure. We showed energy and compliance monitoring that gives operators a clear picture of every distribution board: every circuit measured, every RCD test logged and compliance easy to demonstrate. And for the assets that sit kilometres from anyone, we showed how remote sites stay connected and keep reporting — even capturing and forwarding their data when the network drops, so nothing is lost.

Safe and secure by design →  Connected operations raise a new question: what happens when the threat is on the network, not the floor? We showed networked safety that doesn't just stop a machine but tells you exactly what tripped and where — alongside a live look at what an unsecured device exposes, and how device-level cyber protection shuts it down. Older equipment included, with no rip-and-replace.

ROKLive isn't only about the tech. Our ISO truck — midway through a national tour — pulled in for a pit stop, showcasing Stanilite emergency and exit lighting alongside ISO industrial-strength plugs and sockets built for tough environments. As hosts of the official ROKLive conference dinner, we also had the opportunity to spend time with customers, partners and industry peers, discussing the challenges shaping our industry and the exciting opportunities ahead.

Whatever you're running — a mine, a treatment plant, a production line or a remote network — it depends on the low-voltage infrastructure underneath. That's what NHP brings together: world-leading technology, engineered for local conditions and backed by local expertise.
