Smarter Energy Starts with the Full Picture

NHP’s integrated Energy Management Solution helps you stay compliant, save money, and make decisions backed by data.
You don’t get smarter energy management from one product. You get it by building a system—and NHP supplies every piece of that puzzle. Whether your site is a hospital, retail complex, manufacturing plant, warehouse, school, or office tower, smart energy management comes down to one thing: clarity. You need accurate data to drive decisions, ensure compliance, and avoid energy waste. And to get that data, you need a solution that works together—not just a pile of components. That’s where NHP comes in. We offer a fully integrated energy management system, powered by world-class technology, including the latest energy monitoring additions from Socomec, backed by local support from start to finish.
What does a complete solution look like?
Let’s break it down. These are the core parts of a compliant, data-ready energy management setup—all distributed and supported by NHP.
1. The Switchboard | Your system starting point
Every solution begins in the main switchboard where incoming power is first protected and measured.
What goes here:
- Terasaki ACBs and MCCBs – to protect and isolate loads
- Socomec DIRIS A – advanced metering with built-in power quality insight
- Socomec Digiware – a smart, modular system that gives you a clear view of energy use, temperature, and breaker status across multiple circuits – all from one display.
These components all feed live data into the Smart eBox.
Note: You can use DIRIS A, Digiware, or both depending on how much granularity you want at the main board.
- Socomec ATyS Automatic Transfer Switches - provide fast, automatic access to an emergency power source (like a generator or second transformer) to support critical equipment.
This stand-alone transfer switching and isolation system—typically installed adjacent to the main switchboard—automatically connects a site to its emergency power source and allows maintenance without disrupting operations.
2. Power Quality Units | Your safeguard against hidden electrical issues
Clean, stable power helps equipment perform reliably. Monitoring for disturbances can protect you from failures, downtime, and unexpected costs.
What is available:
- Delta Power Quality Mitigation
- SVG to correct power factor
- APF to mitigate harmonics and clean power
- Socomec Diris Q-800 – advanced full site power quality analyser to monitor any changes or disruptions in power quality.
These products all feed live data into the Smart eBox.
3. The Distribution Boards | Monitoring in detail
These boards are spread across your site—one per floor, wing, or area—and this is where energy monitoring gets precise.
What goes here:
- DIN-T circuit protection – to protect electrical systems from damage caused by overloads or short circuits.
- Socomec Countis P – space saving, 4-in-1 metering to monitor lighting, power, HVAC, lifts & EV chargers .
- Socomec Digiware – where more advanced or granular monitoring is needed for loads as low as 20mA.
- Rapid Test - semi automated safety testing of protection devices.
- Smart environment sensors - monitor temperature and humidity inside distribution boards.
Pro tip: Digiware and Countis P can be used together. Countis P for straightforward loads, Digiware for deeper insight or growing sites.
4. The SMART eBox | Your central brain
This is what brings it all together. It is a one-stop dashboard to visualise, analyse and store the site’s energy data without a subscription fee.
What it does:
- Collects and consolidates data from across your site
- Displays it in a browser-based dashboard with remote access
- Comes with a 5G SIM (first year free)—no IT integration or onsite internet needed
- Supports compliance to NCC, monthly reports, energy audits and more
5. Emergency Lighting System | Essential for compliance
Your Stanilite® Emergency and Exit Lighting also needs centralised monitoring, and that’s where Nexus comes in.
Placed near the eBox, it delivers:
- Real-time health checks of all exit/emergency lights
- Battery status tracking
- Compliance-ready testing logs
- Reduces the need for physical walk through
Why It Matters
This complete smarter energy setup enables:
- Real-time insight across loads and levels
- Automated testing of protective devices and lighting
- Granular energy data to drive upgrades and reduce waste
- Support for Green Star, NABERS and ESG reporting
- Safe operation of sensitive equipment
And you don’t need to figure it out alone. NHP helps you choose what’s needed, based on your site’s size, load, and goals.
A Quick Example: Clinic vs Hospital
Let’s bring the solution to life with a simple comparison.
A private medical practice and a multi-level hospital might both operate in healthcare, but when it comes to energy management, their requirements are worlds apart.
Both rely on sensitive equipment like X-ray machines, monitors, lighting, and HVAC.
Both care about uptime, safety, and energy costs. But the scale, complexity, and strategy of their energy setup is where the difference lies.
As an example, a small private clinic may only need a compact switchboard, a single transfer switch, basic power quality correction, and a few metering points. In contrast, a hospital could require multiple switchboards, advanced monitoring, layered transfer switching, and detailed metering across departments.
Same system architecture—just scaled to fit. Different sites, different needs, one adaptable solution.
What about commissioning?
Energy management systems are powerful—but they’re not plug-and-play.
Without proper setup, it’s easy to miss key configurations, end up with incomplete dashboards, or overlook critical thresholds. It’s not just about the quality of the install, it’s simply the nature of connecting a smart, multi-layered system.
That’s why many consultants and end users choose to contract out the commissioning step.
NHP offers professional commissioning support whether you need full setup or just help fine-tuning your system. We ensure your devices are configured correctly, your data is clean, and your dashboards are ready from day one.
It’s a smart way to reduce handover delays, avoid support callbacks, and get the most from your investment.
