Allen-Bradley Ex IO
The Allen-Bradley Ex I/O modules are an intrinsically safe distributed I/O platform that can be mounted in either Zone 1, Zone 2, Class I or Div 2 hazardous areas. The platform integrates devices in hazardous areas via EtherNet/IP™ in a chassis-based I/O design maximising space and reducing the need for additional hardware and wiring. The scalable platform allows flexible configuration options ranging from 10 to 40-slot and is covered by bulletin numbers 1718 and 1719.

Mounting
Enabling the Device Level Ring is made easy with the dual EtherNet/IP ports on the adaptor along with the added option of N+1 power supply redundancy.

System redundancy is made possible with the use of optional power supply and connection between 1718 Ex I/O chassis and other non-Ex adapters and switches.

Scalable
Provide maximum flexibility with scalable 10 to 40 slot chassis incorporating digital and analogue ports and options for temperature and pressure sensing. All this is backed by HART 7 support which comes standard on analogue models.
